Death chats

Part of doula work is advocating for better understanding and literacy around death and dying. It is, after all, coming for us all!

There are many ways that death chats can occur. Local councils often run death cafes, where (usually) an end of life doula runs a session which aims to help people talk about death and ask questions that their community may not want to discuss.

I can also convene small groups in homes and workplaces, for groups of friends or colleagues who may feel the need to talk about a recent community death, or just want to ask questions and discuss fears or ideas about death and dying. These conversations are often quite difficult to have in an organic way within the wider community.

There is really no limit to how a death chat can occur, so get in touch to find out more about how I can help you bring a death chat idea into being.
